Begijnhof

Beautiful, hidden garden square in central Amsterdam. Originally a convent. Dates back to 1307. Chapel open daily.

34 Begijnhof is one of only two wooden houses still existing in the centre of Amsterdam.

Entrance is through an arched door on the Spui. An alternative entrance is on the East side from the Gedempte Beginensloot.
