Boadicea

A statue of Queen Boadicea is a prominent landmark next to Big Ben at the Northern end of Westminster Bridge.

Also known as Boudicca, she was a queen of the Celtic Iceni tribe who led an uprising against the occupying forces of the Roman Empire in AD 60 or 61, and died shortly after its failure, having supposedly poisoned herself.
