The Vrije University Botanical Garden occupies an area of approximately one hectare behind the University Medical Centre. Approximately 1,000 square metres are covered with glasshouses.

The collection contains approximately 10,000 species and is open daily from 08:00 to 16:30. Entry is free of charge.
