The Galicia Jewish Museum was opened in 2004 to showcase 800 years of jewish history in this region of Poland. The museum is a celebration of the history and persecution of the Jews in Polish Galicia told through photographs and relics.

The buidling in which the museum is housed used to be a mill before the Second World War. It has been extensively renovated and now provides a modern, light and contemporary space for both permanent and temporary exhibitions.
