Hendon

The Royal Airforce Museum occupies part of the former site of Hendon Aerodrome.

A range of aircraft are on display including the Lancaster bomber S-Sugar which flew over 130 sorties in World War 2, the only examples of a Boulton Paul Defiant and a Hawker Typhoon left in the world and many other types ranging from the first days of military flight up until the present day.

Entry is free, although a small parking charge is levied.
