The Van Gogh Museum is dedicated to artworks by the influential dutch painter Vincent van Gogh and some of his contemporaries in the Impressionist movement.
The museum opened in June 1973 and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the Netherlands. It contains the largest van Gogh collection in the world numbering over 200 paintings, 400 drawings and 700 letters.
